Australia Needs Fatima is an association of Catholic laity whose mission is to spread Our Lady of Fatima's message throughout Australia.
As Our Lady predicted, we now suffer a time of tragic loss of religious belief and morality, of increasing attacks on the Pope, and on the Catholic Church, and an increase of anti-religious animosity to Catholic moral purity and truth.
Our Lady of Fatima wishes to prevent the spread of these irreligious attacks on her Immaculate Heart and her Son's Church, and she wishes to save sinners by encouraging Catholics to make reparation for sinners.
So, Australians need to be informed of her message, and Catholics need help to recover their identity as Catholics and by seeking protection under her Immaculate Heart.
Australia Needs Fatima aims to help Australians know her message at Fatima, to help revive Catholic identity, to fight against the social and moral ills of Australia, and to spread among Australians what Our Lady requested: devotion to her Immaculate Heart, devotion to the Holy Rosary, devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, and to help repair the damage made by irreligion and immorality.
We also help spread traditional devotional practices and we try to educate the public about the Catholic Faith, morality and doctrine.
So, we make a range of both public promotions and promotions to members throughout the year. These may include publicising books about Fatima or devotional items suited to the needs of Catholics.
We publish a very popular annual Marian calendar.
We distribute Rosary kits and other Fatima-based devotional items.
We publish the Quest magazine twice a year, a magazine full of articles which reinforce traditional Catholic doctrine and morality.
We hold popular public talks about key moral and social issues.
We help support Catholic diocesan public events and other Catholic organisations with similar aims.
We take the large Pilgrim Statue of Fatima to people's homes and there recite the Rosary among family or parish groups.
We distributed freely 1000s and 1000s of Rosary kits to the youth of Australia, at the World Youth Day, to Catholic catechists and religious school classrooms, and to the elderly in aged care.
We help spread the Fatima mission to Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands and to Indonesia.
We act under our own responsibility as Catholic laity, in accordance with the code of Canon Law (canon 227). We are guided by the teaching of the Magisterium of the Church and Australia Needs Fatima is in filial obedience to the Sacred Hierarchy with respect to faith, morals and doctrine.
"Go into all the world and preach the Gospel" (Mk 16.15).
We face new challenges every year, so it is necessary to expand the activities of Australia Needs Fatima. It is important to regularly support and to cooperate with Australia Needs Fatima if we are to spread the Message of Fatima. We believe that the Immaculate Virgin Mary generously give favours to all those who help spread her message.
