The Angel instructed the children at Fatima:
Australia Needs Fatima freely distributed 10,000 wooden Lenten Crucifixes to our members during Lent, 2011, as a way to make reparation for our sins and for the conversion of Australians.
These wooden veneer crucifixes of the famous painting by Bernardo Gaddi (1290-1348) - a disciple of the great Giotto - were so popular that we were not able to fulfil all the requests made for more by members, parishes, and devotional groups.
Many ordered these very practical crucifixes for their children, and for friends.
The crucifixes came with a prayer card of the traditional Litany of the Cross and the traditional Prayer before a Crucifix. Some parishes organised the litany to be said by groups on Fridays during Lent.
We hope next Lent to obtain more of these very popular items for distribution to our members.
