Australia Needs Fatima promotes missions and campaigns through the year to spread Our Lady's Message at Fatima.
Our Lady of Fatima requested saying the daily Rosary to help make reparation for sins against God, especially reparation for the evil spread of irreligious ideas and blasphemies against her Virginity. In 1997 we organised the Rosary in the Street Campaign where groups of the faithful throughout Australia publically recited the Rosary with the intention of making reparations. In 2008 we introduced the Youth Rosary Alliance, where 1000s of rosary kits were given to groups of youth willing to learn the Rosary. This campaign proved popular at World Youth Day events. We continue our support of the Rosary by issuing rosary kits to catechists, to groups of students, to those in aged care, and to those groups who foster the saying of the Rosary.
Our Lady of Fatima also requested that we take refuge in her Immaculate Heart. In 2009 we invited our members to Consecrate themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This very popular campaign saw families and friends signing their names on Consecration Certificates which were then sent to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. We also organised a Five Saturdays Devotion to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart campaign where members were assisted in taking up this devotion among their families. Furthermore, the associated devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus has also been the object of past campaigns.
We also support the spread of Our Lady's Message at Fatima by missionary work in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands. Many villagers have formed links with Australia Needs Fatima where we supply them with devotional literature and rosaries.
TheWay of the Cross CD promotion has also proved popular among both our members and the Australian Catholic public. This CD contains beautiful, gentle yet strong meditations on the Way of the Cross by Professor Plinio d'Oliveira, our founder.
Other campaigns have focused on promoting devotion to Our Lady through by providing beautiful posters, medallions, and statues of Our Lady of Fatima. In the past we have also organised Pilgrimage Walks in honour of Our Lady of Fatima and Saint Mary Mackillop.
"Go into all the world and preach the Gospel" (Mk 16.15).
We face new challenges every year, so it is necessary to expand the activities of Australia Needs Fatima. It is important to regularly support and to cooperate with Australia Needs Fatima if we are to spread the Message of Fatima. We believe that the Immaculate Virgin Mary generously give favours to all those who help spread her message.
