The Fifth Apparition: September 13, 1917
Like before, a crowd of people, whose number was estimated at about fifteen to twenty thousand people, and maybe even more, witnessed a series of atmospheric phenomena: a sudden cooling of the air, a dimming of the sun that one could see the stars, and a kind of rain of iridescent flakes like snowflakes, but which disappeared before they could touch the ground. Then people noticed a luminous sphere, which moved slowly across the sky from east to west, and at the end of the revelation, in the opposite direction. As before, the children saw the the same light, and immediately following it, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to them over the same green oak bush.
MOTHER OF GOD: Continue to renew the rosary to uprosic end of the war. In October will be the Lord Jesus, dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows and the Carmelite, and St.. Joseph and Child Jesus, to bless the world. God is pleased with your mortification, but you do not have to sleep with ropes. Wear them only during the day.
LUCIA: asked me, I asked the lady about many things, some sick healing, healing of the deaf-mute.
MOTHER OF GOD: Yes, some heal, others do not. In October I will make a miracle so that all believers.
The Sixth and Last Apparition: October 13, 1917
As on the other occasions, the children first saw a bright light, and then they saw the Blessed Virgin Mary appear over the same green oak bush.
LUCIA: What does Your Grace wish of me?
MOTHER OF GOD: I wish to tell you that I want a chapel built here in my honour. I am Our Lady of the Rosary. Continue to say the Rosary every day. The war is going to end soon, and the soldiers will soon return to their homes.
LUCIA: I have many things to ask you: if you would cure some sick persons and if you would convert some sinners...
MOTHER OF GOD: Some yes, others no. They need to amend their lives and ask for forgiveness of sins.
And with a sad expression on her face she added: Let no more offend the Lord our God, who is already very offended. Then opening her hands, Our Lady shone the light issuing from her hands on to the sun, and, as she rose, her own radiance continued to be cast on the sun.
It was then that Lucy exclaimed: Look at the sun!.

After the Blessed Virgin Mary disappeared into the immensity of the sky, three succeeding visions were witnessed. The first one was seen by all three children and symbolized the joyful mysteries of the Rosary. The second and third visions by Lucia only, symbolising the sorrowful mysteries, and the glorious mysteries of the Rosary:
